Transparency and verification

JaktFunn data sources

This page explains where product data, prices, compatibility guidance, hunting rules and statistics come from — and what you should always verify yourself.

Product, price and stock data

Data may come from approved retailer product feeds, files, APIs or other approved integrations. Where available, JaktFunn records the source, retailer, product page and time of the latest check.

Prices and stock statuses are snapshots. The retailer product page and checkout information remain authoritative before purchase.

Product and variant matching

Identical products are matched primarily with EAN/GTIN, SKU or manufacturer part number. Brand, model, calibre, barrel length, muzzle thread, handedness, tube diameter and mounting system help prevent different variants from being combined.

Rules and hunting guidance

Lovdata, the Norwegian Police, the Norwegian Environment Agency, the Norwegian Agriculture Agency and local authorities are used for information about firearms, ammunition, hunting seasons and lawful use.

Rules can change or have local exceptions. Always check the official source before hunting, buying or using equipment.

Hunting statistics

The statistics pages use published figures from Statistics Norway. Table numbers, methodological cautions and links to the original source are shown with the results.
